King Abdullah Humanitarian Foundation – Riyadh

The project to Combat COVID-19, launched by the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Program for Charitable Works “Fail Khair” continues its work in conjunction with the spread of the ongoing pandemic (Covid-19) by providing health care, awareness and education in the beneficiary countries. It is part of the programs funded by the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Humanitarian Foundation, and implemented by the Islamic Development Bank Group.

To date, the project has provided direct assistance to more than 4 million beneficiaries and more than 35 million beneficiaries as part of indirect efforts. The assistance package included strengthening the targeted communities’ health system capacity to monitor diseases, analyzing data plans to update preparedness and response plans, training and educating the health workforce, and purchasing personal protective equipment such as clothing, gloves, helmets, goggles, and sterilization supplies.

The project has also campaigned the local communities via visual, audio, and print awareness programs awareness on the pandemic, its causative factors, and the necessary measures to prevent its spread.

The King Abdullah International Foundation for Humanitarian Activities was established by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz – may Allah have mercy on him. More than (43) million people have benefited from its efforts, including Fael Khair around the world in (17) countries: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Yemen, Indonesia, Niger, Myanmar, Somalia, Mali, Sudan, Liberia, Guinea, and Jordan; with a focus on education, health, and social and economic development.
